"I am the daughter of torrents, sister of rivers..."

We are in 1607. On the lands of Virginia, in America, Pocahontas and its people live in harmony with nature. One day, a ship of English colonists drops anchor not far from their village. Commanded by the avid governor Radcliffe, the men came to explore places they believe filled with gold. Among them, the adventurer John Smith comes to seek the exaltation of unexplored lands.

Intrigued by the arrival of these foreigners, Pocahontas defies her father’s warning and goes ahead of the English. Beyond differences and prejudices, the meeting between Pocahontas and John Smith will upset their destiny. With patience, the young woman makes him discover the beauty of his world and shows him that respect for nature and other humans is at the heart of the balance of life. But the war between their two peoples threatens, and Pocahontas will have to listen to his heart and choose the right path to defend peace.

Jean Reno tells the timeless legend of a courageous young woman, carrying a message of tolerance and fraternity.
